Ok spring is almost here and that means that its still taking too long to but out this frigin CD. On a happier note, Black Coffee Films has decided that they want to make a music video for one of my new songs real soon- more on this later. I am also finishing up recording music for the Black Coffee film Stranded, Broke and Ugly. Hopefully it will be posted on The Lot (FOX show for indie film makers) web site soon- Agianst Me! is on the trailer! Also, I am currently still involved with my referee duties with the Inland Empire Derby Divas. Oh, and I am starting to get active with my other band The Felony Anthems. More details on all of this soon!

(in case you were curious the show was cancelled because the promoter was a dick) Johnny Cheapo will playing the guitar along with Pete and Mike from Pug Ugly and Scotty from The Kracks and will serve as back -up band for legendary poet/musician Jim Carrol. The band will be dubbed Jim Carrol and The Catholic Boys Revival. They will be performing at Trilogy Q06 at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino Ca on Friday October 20th. I'm Still waiting to finish the new CD. Gonna go back to the studio real soon. Also, I will doing some more tours in the next few months and I'm gonna start working on a music video with Black Coffee Filmz. Lately I've been playing Keyboard, Guitar and Harmonica in another band called The Felony Anthems.

The short West Coast tour we did went great eventhough Andre couldn't make it. We squeezed into a tiny van provided by guitarist Will and did some long driving.

Touring Again

Johnny Cheapo will be doing a short jaunt up the north-west again! On June 28th - July 2nd. It will take him to San Franciso, Portland and Seattle just to keep our tour muscles in shape. We will also be playing The Hitchhikers' CD release party at Character's in Pomona. Check calendar.

We had a kick ass show this past Friday at Angels, and its all due to the Voodoo Glow Skulls bringing together a unique combination of bands to rock out and celebrate this spicy holiday! Let's hope there are many more shows like these to come!

As of this writing Johnny Cheapo is planning to go back into the studio to finish the much anticipated "Misbehavin" CD real soon. The project was put on hold while while Cheapo took a jaunt throught the west coast to see if Rock n Roll fans still existed. They did! Check back later to read the tour journal below.

Ok so smutrecords.com is finally up and running and better than ever. The site will be updated constantly and will eventually have more goodies than the myspace site. However its still fun to use myspace because it is addicting sometimes. Go ahead and add Johnny Cheapo in case you haven't already.

Johnny Cheapo checks himself in to MAD Recorder Studios in Pomana to record his first CD "Say Hello to Disaster".

Cheapo plays first show as Johnny Cheapo. He and the band jump on a bill at The Wooden Nickel in San Bernardino featuring The Chain Junkies and Society's Unwanted. Crowd responds favorably, Cheapo antics at this and other shows become legendary in the slimy, mudhole known as San Bernardino.

Cheapo officialy calls it quits from Fighting Cause and begins to scheme the idea of becoming Johnny Cheapo and looking for anyone who would join his new "solo" act. He brings along Danny Boner on drums who played drums in the final few months of Fighting Cause.
